Sister Act
17 - 21 May 2022

Director and choreographer: Louise Travis
Musical director: Adam Blosse

The Haymarket, Basingstoke
Evenings: 7.30pm, Saturday matinee: 2.30pm

Based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, Sister Act is an uplifting musical comedy about the bonds of friendship.

When nightclub diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, the cops place her in protective custody in the last place anyone would look – a convent! Disguised as nun ‘Sister Mary Clarence’, Deloris clashes with the inflexible Mother Superior and meets the excruciating nuns choir. She soon uses her performing skills to transform their voices and breathes new life into the Church… which blows her cover.

Featuring original gospel music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted) Sister Act was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical.
