Little Shop of Horrors
14 - 18 May 2013

Director and choreographer: Nick Brannam
Musical director: Rachel Glover

The Haymarket, Basingstoke
Evenings: 7:30 pm, Saturday matinees: 2:30 pm

Fantastic songs evoking the era of Motown, rock ‘n’ roll and doo-wop!  A delicious parody of old horror movies!  A giant man-eating Venus flytrap taking over the stage before your eyes!  It all adds up to the perfect fun-filled night at the theatre, as BATS brings Little Shop of Horrors - one of Broadway’s most popular musicals to The Haymarket.

It's New York in the early 1960s.  Nerdy florist's assistant Seymour Krelborn finds a mysterious exotic plant during an unexpected solar eclipse.  Seymour hopes his new-found celebrity will help him to win the heart of his ditzy co-worker Audrey.

But he is hiding a terrible secret...  Why are people disappearing all over Skid Row?  And what exactly is Seymour feeding the plant to help it grow to such a monstrous size?
